We’re offering children, already part of our Enrichment groups, the opportunity to take part in another virtual-home project. In your ‘Seed to Sunflower’ pack you’ll find sunflower seeds, a pot, compost and seedling pot, with instructions. The challenge will be to look after and grow the seeds into sunflowers over the coming weeks. There’s a link between watering and growing seeds into sunflowers and growing, building and looking after of the skills we talk about during our activities. I wonder if you can explain the link?
We’ll kickstart the project on Monday 3rd August at 1.30 pm using Zoom. If you haven’t heard of, or used Zoom before, it’s a video meeting program and app that you can download onto your phone, computer or tablet from the Zoom website: https://zoom.us/download.
Sharing Your Progress
You can upload your weekly photos of your sunflower (with you in the photo too if you want) using the link below. We’ll post a montage each week of these on our website and social media pages. You can find us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn. We hope you’ll be able to keep this going all the way to our next real-life activity on Saturday 19th September.
